How to Generate a Trend Analysis Report in CJA

✅ Step 1: Create a New Project or Open Existing One

  1. Go to Adobe CJA and sign in.
  2. Click on Projects > Create New Project or open an existing project.

✅ Step 2: Add a Freeform Panel

  1. From the left-side panel, drag a Freeform Table into the canvas.
  2. You’ll use this table as the base for your trend analysis.

✅ Step 3: Add a Time Dimension

  1. In the Rows section of the freeform table:
    • Drag in a time-based dimension, like:
      • Day
      • Week
      • Month
    • This becomes your X-axis (time series).

✅ Step 4: Add Metrics

  1. In the Columns section, drag the metric(s) you want to trend, like:
    • Revenue
    • Orders
    • Purchases
    • Visits
    • Page Views

These will populate the table with values over time.


✅ Step 5: Convert to a Line Chart

  1. Click the chart icon (📈) at the top-right of the freeform table.
  2. Select Line Chart – this turns your table into a visual trend report.

✅ Step 6: Filter or Segment the Data (Optional)

  • Drag in segments like:
    • New Customers
    • Returning Customers
    • Specific Marketing Channel
  • Or use filters like Device Type, Region, or Product Category.

✅ Step 7: Adjust Time Frame

  1. Use the date selector at the top of the workspace to control the date range.
  2. Compare specific periods (e.g., this month vs last month) for insights.

✅ Step 8: Save and Share

  • Click Save (top right).
  • Share the project with teammates via Share > Share Link or export the report.

🎯 Bonus Tip: Add Annotations or Forecasting

  • Use Annotations to mark events (e.g., campaign launch).
  • Use Forecasting (if enabled) to project future trends based on past behavior.
